An alternative to merged cells

You spend hours formatting your excel file by merging cells, wrapping text, using middle align and a whole host of other formatting to get your excel file just right and then the following error message pops up:

Step by Step Instructions
In the below example, we will centre align the year 2022. Select cells B1 to D1
Press Ctrl 1 to bring up the Format Cells pop up box
On the alignment tab, under the Horizontal drop down select "Centre Across Selection" and click OK
The date looks like it is centred through a merge cell but now you have the flebility to move across rows without being hampered by a merged cell
You can scroll down rows if need to
